Are the Automatons actually building a Superweapon

I thought this whole time that the Automatons had stolen the Star of Peace Blueprints to build their own copy called the Star of Tyranny

and that it was our goal as Helldivers to stop the Construction of this weapon by going to Cyberstan

We recently I have been told that this is all actually a lie and that Super Earth High Command only issued the Orders that the Star of Peace plans were stolen and That we needed to invade Cyberstan to get more funding for the Greater galactic war and so we had a tactical reason to launch a full assault on Cyberstan so we can finally hit the Bots where it hurts most
