Parking tickets getting ridiculous

Anyone else sensing the meter maids have gone Robocop lately? I work hard to comply with alternate side parking, but it never seems to be enough. Lately, they seem to be ramping up with some unsavory enforcement—after the sweeper has gone by, doling out tickets with 5 minutes technically left, stuff like that. Also getting more bogus ones as of late (ie not unspoken rules, just plain wrong).

It’s a recent phenomenon and I genuinely don’t know how they staff the requisite manpower to find any possible infraction, morning noon and night. A lapsed *emissions sticker* will be found next-day.

Up until a few months ago there were, shall we say, stern but fair levels of enforcement. Now I can’t help but feel like I’m Zohran’s piggy bank…

The irony of course is that even with 2X weekly sweeping the streets of Williamsburg are still filthy somehow?
