I didn’t expect this… but I think I’ve developed an attraction to Indian men after talking to one

I’m 30F, a working professional, and I’ve been single for quite some time now. I’ve always been pretty focused on my career and personal growth, and while I’ve dated here and there, nothing really stuck. At some point, I just got used to being on my own.

Recently though, I started talking to an Indian guy online. It wasn’t anything serious at first, just casual conversations, exchanging thoughts about work, life, and random day-to-day things. But over time, I noticed how thoughtful he was, how he communicated, and how intentional he seemed in conversations. It felt different.

He was respectful, expressive, and surprisingly emotionally present. We’d talk about family values, career goals, cultural differences, and even small things like food, daily routines, and how we both handle stress. I found myself looking forward to our conversations more than I expected.

What caught me off guard is that after talking to him, I started noticing that I’m becoming more attracted to Indian men in general. Not just physically, but also the qualities I associate now, being family-oriented, hardworking, emotionally expressive (at least from my experience so far), and culturally grounded.

I know it might sound odd to generalize based on one experience, and I’m trying to stay realistic about that. But I can’t deny that this interaction opened my mind in a way I didn’t expect. It’s like something shifted in my preferences without me consciously deciding it.

I’ve also been single for quite some time, so maybe part of this is just me rediscovering what it feels like to connect with someone again.

Has anyone else experienced something like this?
Where you talked to someone from a different culture, and suddenly your preferences shifted?

Would love to hear your thoughts or experiences.
