Update - I have an appointment with a hemotologist!

I wasn't expecting things to be moving this quickly, but I'm happy they are. I saw my endocrinologist early last week and she kind of took me serious, at least enough to put a referral in. She said my ferritin isn't super low and iron saturation doesn't really matter, even though I am very symptomatic. She also said that they may or may not accept the referral and to wait 2 weeks for a call. She took me more serious when I said I was planning on starting to try for pregnancy, which I always hate because I should be able to get help without that being the driving factor.

I also saw my OBGYN last week and she wasn't too pleased when I told her my PCP told me to take Flintstone vitamins, she said that's not how that should have been handled at all. She also made it very clear that the low ferritin probably wasn't helping my chances to ovulate on top of my PCOS. I'm luckily seeing a new PCP in June.

Well today I got the call from the hemotology office, they said that they could get me in to see the hemotologist at the end of the month. I jumped on it. That was a fast call, seeing as I was at endocrinology just a week ago. I guess they're taking it seriously, even though no one else wanted to.

I hope to have this nightmare over with soon and hopefully I can keep my iron up.
