Syncing enterprise outlook calendar to obsidian - what actually works in 2026?

help

I'm a new user to Obsidian and I've been trying to get my work Outlook calendar (Microsoft 365, enterprise account) to show up in Obsidian. I've hit every wall possible and wanted to ask what's actually working for people in similar institutional setups.

What I've tried:

- ICS publishing from Outlook Web → blocked by work IT

- CalDAV → returns 500 error, also blocked

- Power Automate (Outlook → Google Calendar) → blocked by DLP policy: "Personal productivity policy restricts use of shared_office365 with shared_googlecalendar"

- Full Calendar plugin with CalDAV → same 500 error

What works on my phone: OneCalendar reads my Outlook calendar fine via OAuth. So the calendar data is accessible — it's just cloud-to-cloud transfers that are blocked.

My setup:

- Obsidian on Windows (native)

- Vault synced via Git

- Using Full Calendar, Tasks, Dataview, Templater

- I don't need two-way sync, read-only would be fine, just want to see my meetings in Obsidian

Questions:

  1. Has anyone gotten this working with an enterprise M365 account under strict DLP policies?

  2. Is there any plugin that uses proper OAuth (like OneCalendar does) rather than ICS/CalDAV?

  3. Would any other plugin be worth trying here?

Happy to accept that this just isn't possible given my work IT restrictions, but wanted to check if I'm missing something before giving up. Thanks!
