I have student loans I don’t remember accepting

Advice needed

Location: PA

I’m in my last semester of college, graduating in a month. My dad and stepmom mentioned something about student loans to me, of which I don’t ever remember talking about before. After thinking about it for a little bit, I decided to check on these loans because they wouldn’t give me specific information regarding them.

There are currently $26k of loans in my name through FSA. I do not have access to an FSA account and I never have. My dad and stepmom has taken care of it the last four years and were never transparent with me on the costs of my tuition.

I went to my schools financial aid office to get an audit of all costs & payments already made. My dad and stepmom have paid a total of $19k on my tuition, housing, dining, etc., but they’ve always made it seem like they’re paying for my college and are constantly holding it over my head.

I talked to my dad today, and it didn’t go well at all. I was trying to ask for more transparency about the loans since I don’t have access to the FSA account that should be mine. I was questioning the legality of having these loans taken out in my name. He got extremely offended that I was accusing him of doing something illegal and then started going on about how much money he spends on me. He claims that I was present for any loans that were taken out as a freshman. My sister is a current freshman and doesn’t remember transparency about student loans either.

This additionally violates my parents’ divorce agreement, which states that my dad is responsible for college tuition costs in full for my siblings and I. He got really offended that I mentioned this as well. I left to go home because our conversation was not getting anywhere.

I have loan discharge applications filled out already. Should I send them in? How likely is it that I would have accepted loans unknowingly? How well will the divorce agreement hold up in this situation?
