96 Buick Park Ave 70k miles. Running(ish), needs a little work. 👍 or 👎?

Car ran until last summer. Her description leads me to believe an alternator issue. I had one of these a long time ago that had issues with the battery posts, not sure if that’s a common issue.

There is some small cosmetic crap and it’s been sitting for a while. Trunk won’t close, hood won’t open, mirrors hanging.

I am offering up to $1000, starting at $500. She was thinking of junking it for $350. She’s going to let me troubleshoot where it sits next door to me.

If I get this running, flush/change fluids, check rubbers and suspension, I’m guessing that I can be all in at about $1500 for a low mileage reliable(ish) car.

Gas mileage sucks, but the thing is a tank. Would you?
