Nose piercing preventing nose form being irritated?

I’ve had right nostril pierced for about two years now and I’ve noticed ever since it’s healed, whenever I get sick or have my hayfever flare up, that side is way less congested and seems to get irritated a lot less, like it still runs sometimes when I’m sick but way less.

I only use a screw or l bend and interchange them.

Has anyone had this happen? Seems like a weird but welcome coincidence.
