[M4F] Isn't being loved and seen all we want?

I'm posting because I'm a bit frustrated with messaging potential partners - where the conversation picks up a bit and you get your hopes about maybe you'll get to talk to this person like a normal human being instead of putting on a show - being a tall hunk, dominant person. And when that expectation falls flat, so does the conversation.
