Prototype glitch?

Uhh I just found a glitch. I was making a new character to do the incursion to get prototype cores and before boosting to level 40, I grabbed my pieces that I would need and then boosted. All 9 of my pieces that I grabbed were prototyped already. Every single one changed the rolls, their value, augment, and talent on it. My Lexington went from just the AR damage maxed to all 3 rolls maxed, and the talent went from optimist to strained. My stack broker did the same thing and now has ranger and all max rolls. Even my quickstep has around ~80% rolls which I believe is impossible as of now. Luckily I had striker so not much got ruined but my ceska and salvo got unlucky rolls. I can’t replicate it with the same pieces and I don’t want to try more.
