I planned my last morning being in the same space as you.

I weighed cost and profits of the consciences.

I snuck from the first floor window. Disappearing from a brick prison

Dressed my garments in camo. Boots heavy I ran.

I ran before the sun even had risen. Ducking the opposition.

For me to come to you, meant I’d face the court marshal.

I ran 1.5 miles to you. I slept 2 hours that’s how much my mind held on to the ambience of you.

I arrived first before the first light even sparkled. The man who raced and won against the sun.

I searched but didn’t find you.

You appeared and with you light glinting at the features of a god. You. You chained the sun to your side. It submitted without resistance.

I have never seen and held a moment so burned in my mind like I do with you.

Lovers meeting to say goodbye. I then understood how you managed to make Helios heel.

Your pain.

All the rain in the world couldn’t compare the amount of tears that fell from you that day.

I wiped every line away i caused you to cry.

A goddess weeping for a man. Chained to his dreams but not the man.

Forever i hold you in that place.

Forever that moment we were safe.

Forever i etched it into my skin.

As a punishment for my sins your lips stained my skin.

My mark of the beast.

I didn’t need to see as the reminder.

My mind held you perfectly within.

Being senile can’t take you from me.

Time will never erode you.

Death has no bounds on your love given.

A woman, eternal.
