What are your predictions/comments for TEB? (I have mine down below)

Discussion

My Predictions/Comments:

  1. I think it is the 2 albums that Posty has talked about before and that it will be a bit of everything. Posty has always managed to sound different from every album and I don't expect any less.

  2. This almost feels like a huge playlist of songs ready to be released instead of a double album to me. Each disc has more songs than each of his previous albums, hell, even some of the albums with deluxes have less tracks than disc 1 OR disc 2 of TEB.

  3. Kinda going along with number 1, I'm expecting this to be the ultimate Post Malone experience, basically like a recap of the last 10-15 years of his career so far. I say that because with his comments about the 2 albums being a bit of everything plus him alluding to other things like saying something along the lines of, "I'm actually working on a side project in the basement" when asked about a metal album, I think this project has the intention of being the ULTIMATE Post Malone experience and not so much it being an album to bump to all the way through if that makes sense (at least the ENTIRE project, I will be surprised if even someone like myself is able to get through that entire project in one go without feeling burned out).

  4. I would give you a prediction about features except I truly don't know where he could take it. I imagine he'll have at least a couple features that are legends in their genre but I don't really have a good idea of who's gonna be on it outside of Jelly Roll and Don Toliver because they're touring together, obviously at different times but still, I think those two are kinda obvious to me, the others, not so much.... Dream feature though, Eminem. Apparently Eminem and Posty were supposed to collab for Hollywood's Bleeding but it never happened because of their busy schedules. That and Eminem is my favorite musician, him and Posty are my favorites, I sometimes go back and forth on who's my favorite lol.

  5. I haven't seen anyone talk about it yet but I wonder how much of the music is gonna be brand new compared to unreleased music from previous eras. I say that because yes, a year and a half is a long time. However, if you know him and how he has been since TCT really, he's been SUPER public when it comes to interviews, cameos among other things, ESPECIALLY performing on stage, whether for his tour or a halftime show or... Anything really. I also remember that at points, like in the Austin tour, his voice gave out so his voice wasn't there like it usually was. I believe it's possible he made 40 songs within that time but I don't know how much of it is worthy of being released, you know? There's always a limit with musicians where something either isn't good enough or isn't where it needs to be so it stays in the backburner for that meantime. I'm a musician myself so I do get it.

  6. With that being said, I wouldn't be surprised if we do hear some unreleased music from a different era on this project. I expect there to be a lot of new music of course, but I don't think all of it will be brand new music.

  7. I have a feeling that TEB will be released in June or shortly before the summer. Thinking about it, Posty is going to be touring next month, so I would think that maybe before the summer starts, you want to put it out there so that you have a ton of new stuff to play which will also make ppl come back for a new experience of a Posty concert. The other reason is he said, "coming soon." To me, something coming soon doesn't mean it's coming in 4-5 months. To me, something coming soon means anytime from now all the way to like 2-3 months. On top of that, Republic Records, since Austin, has allowed Posty to be more creative with his music and just let him be a songwriter first, hitmaker second. He still gives radio hits but it doesn't feel forced like it sometimes used to feel. So I feel like, if Republic is going to take advantage of it while keeping Posty happy, it should be released to kick off the summer, not the fall to give "The Eternal Buzz" for the entire season, especially considering that at least imo, when I think of drinking and having fun, I think of the summer and having a great time outside either partying or on a beach or just chilling inside even with the air conditioning running.

  8. Another prediction that does seem out there but... There should be The Eternal Buzz tour... Come on now, come on, it's perfecttt. That and Posty is genuinely having the time of his life it feels like rn, making the most out of it before eventually he disappears into the wilderness, bc he has stated living in the middle of nowhere before and wanting to kinda disappear in a way so, yeah.
