Hello again, Sorry for the spam. I forgot to mention that all of my plants have ample drainage, I learned that one a long time ago.

I have had this monstera for a few years. I got her for free a long time ago. She was dying when I got her and has flourished. I know it needs to be repotted but I don't know where to start. I tried misting the leaves and moss pole to promote it to wrap around but the aereal roots never grab the pole (even when it did better at supporting the plant. It has curved and become top heavy so tries to lay on its side. It's trying to crawl out instead of go up. In the last year it has finally produced fully serrated leaves so I don't want to start over if I don't have to.

It might be best to cut a piece and restart but then how to I prevent this from happening again?

I have it in a bay window where it takes up a lot of light. The soil is basic miracle grow that I mix more perlite into. The plant has been like this for a long time. I would also like to initiate stronger roots so it can support itself. I have tried to train the aereal roots around the pole but it doesn't even try to grab it. I purchased a larger pot and a different type of pole in hopes it will like that kind better.

I would love suggestions on how to proceed. Also if I take a cutting of a serrated part of the plant, will it be serrated when it starts growing or will the new growth be solid leaves?
