I'm going to my first lesson soon, any tips and tricks someone should know starting their biker journey?

I'm gonna be starting my journey as a rider soon and wondered if there were any must know tips and tricks of the trade as they say.

also first bike I'm aiming for as a starter is the suzuki gn250. good or any recommendations?
