Struggling with missing family after moving across the country to be with my long distance girlfriend.

As the title states i 29m am Struggling with missing family after moving across the country to be with my long distance girlfriend f27. I moved from Maryland to Portland i been here for about a year and a half and the homesickness has not went away if anything it may have gotten worse. I am an only child and have a super small and close knit family and i have a solid group of friends back home i find it incredibly hard missing for holidays and important events. I tried mentioning to my girlfriend a few months back about wanting to eventually move closer to family and she got mad and said we agreed i would move here and told me if that is the case why did i waste her time which i feel is not very fair. I made the move and had no idea how hard it would be on my mental health. Has anyone here been in a similar circumstance or have any advice anything will help!
