Need advice

I just had a miscarriage at 8-9 weeks. Thankfully, I did not have to do a d&c. I did bleed a lot, but Dr said that was expected. She told my husband and I we need to wait at least 2 full period cycles, then we can try again. I’ve finally stopped bleeding.

Has anyone ever not waited 1-2 period cycles? I don’t want to seem selfish, but I’m eager to try again asap.
