What if the “Devaluation” Thoughts are “Objectively” True?

Advice & Support

I have this friendship with a girl and throughout our friendship I’ve frequently begun to view her as this perfect maternal caretaker on some days and then once I think she’s lying about finding me interesting I view her as useless and unintelligent and some other things that are kind of bad but ultimately true. My question is regarding the true ones. She genuinely is the most uninteresting person of all time and lacks any real talent. And she doesn’t strive for talent either all she does is complain about not having a boyfriend, hating men, and about how “mentally ill” she is. And then there’s also the repeated regurgitation of the most obvious self explanatory shit as though it’s somehow the highest form of wisdom. Like I’d be fine with her if she was trying to improve or be better in SOME capacity but she’s just an ungrateful..blah blah blah. Anyway these facts objectively (using standard modes of logic) anger me. So, if all of this is true, how can I resist the extreme anger it elicits? Like usually I can handle my devaluation of people by recognizing it’s inherently flawed in some regard, and, as a result, am able to push down that anger for a later time in private. But the facts I have laid out currently are just genuine truths that I find disgusting. And so, I find it almost impossible to suppress because they are just true. How can I manage it in this case without taking it out on her? It’s obviously not her fault that I feel this way though as it’s just how my being seems to function.
