Decided to drive my car until a check engine light went off and need some reassurance that it either will or wont be fine 💔

my car is a 2003 Chevy impala 3.4 and i got a p401 code on it (insufficient EGR flow) when I started it and drove for a bit. mind you, it had a full tank of possibly 6 month old gas and I thought what better idea than to drive 320 miles on it for 2 days and fill it up with new gas every quarter of the trip with new gas... I had the OBD2 scanner with me to clear it every time it popped up and slowly it stopped showing up as much and I just want to make sure I didn't do anything stupid by doing this... should my car be fine if the code doesnt come back anymore or should I still go to a mechanic to get it checked out? thank you 🙏💗 I also just filled it up with sea foam just in case and have been adding some miles on it through out my day off today and ths light still hasn't come back 💯
