Acer nitro QG241Y G only showing 120hz

I need help. I just bought a Acer nitro QG241Y G and it says it gets 165hz. I plugged it into my gpu (rtx 2060) with a display port 1.4 cord and windows only allows to go up to 120hz. I tried everything it feels like i tried changing resolution and forcing 165hz in nividia control panel but when i click test my monitor goes black for 17 seconds and says input not supported. I called support and did everything they said, Resetting bios, updating drivers, updating windows, and tried different cables. Still 120hz i even tried it on my laptop and same thing.
