Calling objects by the wrong name and not noticing repeatedly. Anyone else notice this for them?

Assessment Journey

Does anyone know what’s going on neurologically when you say the wrong name for an object don’t realize? Is this normal?

It’s cute when little kids call things trash panda for example but they are learning.

Example I could visualize packing peanuts but my brain substituted popping peanuts confusing everybody.

The weird part is I didn’t realize and had been using the wrong name for a whole conversation and didn’t clue in until they pointed it out to me and it was obvious.

Has anyone else experienced this and what’s going on?
