Is a Dreadlocks Machine Really Helpful Or Just Fancy Hair Tool?

I am going to my cousin’s salon yesterday. I see a dreadlocks machine sitting on the table. It look small and metallic. I touch it and it feel smooth but a little heavy. I feel curious because it look simple but maybe really good for making dreadlocks faster without much effort. One handle is little stiff.

I am thinking why dreadlocks machines are popular now. People don’t just use combs or hand-twisting anymore. I feel curious because some machines feel strong and easy to use but some tangle hair or break fast. Maybe motor and material matter more than color. It make me wonder if all dreadlocks machines are same or some are really better for hair styling and safety.

I take my phone and start checking while scrolling many online marketplaces including alibaba. I see dreadlocks machines in many sizes and designs. Some small some bigger. Some simple some with extra settings, speed control, or attachments. Some light some heavy. I read few reviews where people say some machines work well and last long others tangle hair or break quickly. It feel like picking right one really matter if you want neat and safe dreadlocks.

Now I am thinking which dreadlocks machine is really better for home or professional use? Are simple small ones more useful or big fancy ones with extra settings and attachments better choice?
