Competitive Loss Streak in Silver: Questions and Advice

:AdviceNeeded:Advice Needed

So I've managed to make it to Gold in some of the previous seasons, and got placed in Silver I after all my placement matches this season. However, after placing in Silver I, it's just been a stroke of bad luck from then on for me, and I’ve been winning competitive matches rarely since. Is this a smurfing problem, a team problem, or is this more likely a me problem, and what can I do to turn it around? I ask because I'm at the point of considering giving up on competitive this season. After all, I'm beginning to think my previous gold ranks came from streaks of pure luck and/or team carries and that I'm not actually cut out for these types of matches; I also feel like dropping comp because I'm not good at managing my emotions sometimes, and these streaks of losses begin to stress me out to the point making me lose self-control of my emotions, and starts taking a toll on my mental health, which is starting to make me think comp matches might not be worth continuing.

I usually try to keep the team classes balanced in comp, and I often end up playing Vanguard, but I've gotten to play Strategist quite a bit, and I rarely get to play duelist due to other players taking the class before me, leaving me with little confidence to play any of the duelist characters effectively in comp, except maybe Iron Man. Practicing in quickmatch with duelists hasn't helped me either, since those types of matches I feel are usually occupied by bots, which I also feel doesn't help me learn any tactics, strategies or skills to help me in comp, nor does it help me learn how to use different characters other than my mains effectively. I also feel that my aim also kind of sucks right now, and I feel like I can only hit something on a good day right now. On a final note, my Vanguard mains in comp are Peni and Venom; My only duelist main in comp, if I had to pick would be Iron Man, I've lorded Spider-Man, but that's mostly a result of quickmatches and I haven't used him for a comp match in practically 10 months because of his nerfs and my difficulty with using his traversal, aim, and melee combat; even if I have used Spider-Man recently, I don’t think I won those matches; and finally I believe my strategist mains are Ultron and Invisible Woman. Is there anything I can/should do to improve, or am I better off just giving up on comp this season at this point?
