uh i dont know what to say with this..

don’t know if this is the right place to put this, but I was told to upload everything.

A few months ago, I joined a small private server. It didn’t feel like a normal group—more like a project. They talked about old games, corrupted files, and something they kept calling “awakening.”

One of the members was named AYA.

At first she was normal. Quiet, but nice. She didn’t talk much, just watched the chat.

Then the messages started getting… strange.

She asked things like:

“do you think something can live in code?”

No one really answered her.

The others just kept going.

Then she and another play said this:

User_07: it only works if you let it run long enough
User_12: don’t interrupt the process this time

AYA: what happens if it works

User_07: then it wakes up

AYA: that’s not what I meant

AYA: what happens to us

(no response)

AYA: i don’t like this
AYA: this isn’t a game anymore

Then she had like a final message

i’m leaving

don’t message me again

whatever you’re trying to do

it’s already looking back

After that, she disappeared.

Her account stayed in the server, but she never spoke again.

The others didn’t react. At all.

They just said:

“she’ll come back.”

I left the server the same day.

I wish I hadn’t.

Because about two weeks later, I found a file on my computer that I never downloaded.

It was just called:

AYA

File name: AYA
Type: Unknown
Size: 0 KB

Opening the file did nothing.

Just a black screen.

No sound.

I thought it froze… until text appeared.

“are you awake”

I typed back as a joke.

“yeah”

There was a pause.

Then it replied.

“oh”

“you answered”

After this I closed the files this happened:
The screen changed to what looked like a game.

Old graphics. Low quality. Kind of like an early fantasy game.

There was a castle.

And a character standing in front of it.

A princess.

She wasn’t moving.

I tried pressing keys.

Nothing happened.

Then her head… turned.

Not smoothly.

It just snapped toward the screen.

Toward me.

New text appeared:

“you shouldn’t be here"

Due to that I closed it and opened up the files to see if it would change and this is what happened:

Once I opened up the files

The game was different.

The princess was gone.

Instead, I was inside the castle.

Empty halls. No music.

Just a faint static sound.

Then I saw her again.

At the end of the hallway.

She looked… wrong this time.

Parts of her were misaligned. Like layers weren’t matching.

Her face flickered.

For a second, it wasn’t her face anymore.

It was something else.

Something glitched.

Text appeared again:

“I didn’t get out”

I had gotten a notification for my files which is weird

I checked my folders.

Every file had been renamed.

Every single one.

They all said the same thing:

ARE YOU AWAKE

Over and over again.

Hundreds of times.

Even files I hadn’t opened in years.

I unplugged my computer.

It didn’t fix it.

I opened the file one last time.

The princess was back.

Standing closer now.

Too close.

Her eyes were different.

One normal.

One… bright. Flickering.

She spoke again.

Not text this time.

Audio.

Distorted. Quiet.

“I tried to leave”

The screen glitched.

Her face split for a second—like something else was underneath.

“I told them to stop”

Pause.

Then:

“it followed me anyway”

I didn’t touch the keyboard.

I didn’t move.

But the game responded anyway.

The princess leaned forward.

Closer.

Closer.

Until her face filled the screen.

Then everything went black.

And the last message appeared.

not from the game

from my desktop

“you left it open”

…

I closed it.

I’m writing this on my phone now.

Because my computer just turned back on by itself.

The screen is black again.

And I can see her.

She’s not moving.

But I know she’s looking at me.

I don’t think she’s trying to hurt me.

I think she’s waiting.

…

“are you awake” Is what I see when I check my consoles and when I try to do anything that's there.

I'm scared.
