Enquiry on PuraPura Blasters (YKW4)

I know, very late to ask this, but I've been replaying yokai watch 4 for the first time in forever and I want to actually play the blasters part of the game... but I don't have the ability to buy the DLC on my English Switch 2

Do I need a Japanese account?

If so, how do I set it up and get it working on an English switch?

anything helps really
