Are there people who exclusively use a local user profile for their console?

I have been struggling with OCD and finding the "perfect" gamertag or whatever. I don't care for an online presence, I don't care for multiplayer, I am an exclusively physical disc gamer and all this other online pressure just f\*cks with my brain. The ads and personalized things playstation shows, the PS+ thing. I don't think all this is for me.

are there people who exclusively use a local, user profile on their PS5 or PS4 to play games?

like just put the disc in, update the game and then just enjoy it like a ps2? I see that playstation stores trophies locally on your console without syncing them to the cloud.

idk I just... I like this approach a whole lot more.
