Moved from Michigan to Jupiter, FL for dancing… feeling like I made a mistake

Hey everyone, I could really use some honest advice.

I recently moved to the Jupiter/West Palm area which I love the weather but I do feel alone and feel like moving home I would be sad leaving “paradise” .. from Michigan dancer for 6 years…Back home I was dancing at a high end club and doing really well financially and overall. I genuinely felt like I had a good thing going.

I decided to move to Florida thinking it would expand my opportunities, meet a different clientele, and elevate things for me but honestly, it’s been the opposite so far. Yes the weather and bars are paradise .

The vibe here feels very different. A lot more party focused, less structure, and not really the same type of clientele I was used to in Michigan. I tried getting into Rachel’s and didn’t get hired, which definitely discouraged me more than I expected.

I also spent a lot of money to relocate and already have a place here, so I feel kind of stuck between giving it more time vs. cutting my losses and going back home where I know I can succeed.

Right now I’m just feeling like I made the wrong decision and I’m not sure if this is just an adjustment period or a sign I should go back.

Has anyone been in a similar situation moving for better opportunities and it not working out the way you thought? Did you stick it out or go back?

Any advice would honestly mean a lot
