Windows laptop doesn’t make sense in 2026 given the RAM price hike.

I am in market to buy a personal laptop that can also do light gaming (early 2015 games like skyrim and old fallout etc). I see absurd pricing for windows laptops in my country. The prices are increased by 30%-100%.

Why would anyone even buy a plastic, poor web cam, poor speaker display at that price point? If it’s starting to hit macbook pro m5 base range doesn’t it make sense just to get macbook then.

I just ordered a 24GB macbook pro for myself. Previously I was thinking of buying a windows laptop with a strong APU.
