How long did it take for you to be able to project consistently after starting a concerted effort?

General Question

The path to projection will have unique hurdles for every individual and I think I've identified some for me, but want to just confirm.

I've projected a few times in life. But it's always been during a time where I had a very consistent and dedicated effort in being mindful. Not just in a sitting session for 30 minutes a day, but when I do it all the time throughout the day.

Ive tried to cultivate a practice of learning to project without doing mindfulness constantly but I never achieved anything.

Something I've noticed about myself is it seems like I tend to zone out and day dream more than average. So I have a suspicion that this kind of behavior undermines my ability to project and it's only when I reel in that kind of behavior and enforce mindfulness all the time, that I actually achieve results.

Does anyone have tangential experience to this notion? What is your experience with focus, distraction, day dreaming and mindfulness OUTSIDE of sitting sessions of meditation and attempted astral projection as it relates to your progress and success?

I guess it's good to notice what creates a good foundation for me. But constant mindfulness definitely kinda brings me down just a little bit. Makes me not want to watch stuff, play games or really do much other than read, sit, walk, tend to plants. Though that sounds really good and wholesome. Clearly I have some growing to do seeing as I flinch at such a thing.

Anyway, thanks in advance for your input and insight.
