Using Waze as a map on Samsung galaxy phone

I am unable to use Waze as the default map in Deliveroo, as there are no settings in the app on the Samsung Galaxy phone. An iPhone has the option to change the default map, but nothing here. It's always open in Google Maps.

Tried clearing the cache and data. Uninstalling and resetting app preferences, but still it never asks for the default map. Even disabling Google Maps didn’t work. It still opens in the web version of Google Maps.

Any help would be appreciated.
