Sounding more intelligent with a face that gives it away.

I have been told I have a very expressive face and they can read everything that’s on my mind. I’m working on being more stoic but failing. So even though I’m listening to a topic, my face gives it away that I don’t understand.

I’m wondering if there are tips or tricks people have used to come across is more intelligent or not give the game away.
