How do people actually live with long nails??

I recently tried going a bit longer with my press-ons for the first time because I love how they look, but I did not expect how hard basic stuff would feel.

The first day I had them on, I struggled typing at work, kept hitting the wrong keys, and even opening a can felt way harder than it should be. At one point I was just staring at my hands like how do people do this every day??

I really like the look of long nails but I feel so awkward doing normal things with them. I’m starting to wonder if it’s just something you get used to over time or if I’m missing something.
