Resources for free/low cost financial advice?

Are there any free or very low cost resources for financial advice, where someone will sit down with my father and go over how much he has, how much is coming in, how much is going out, and how long it will last?

I’ve taken over doing my father’s bills since my mother passed a few months ago. She always did the day to day bills. I’m starting to get nervous about how long my father’s money will last, but he thinks he’s rich with endless money.

The reality is that he has a pension, but which barely covers regular bills each month (at least for now, I don’t know if it will when some bills are higher in the summer; some will also be lower, but I don’t know if they’ll offset each other) and he needs to dip into his savings for many non-monthly expenses like buying a new dishwasher when his dies or car registration or even new shoes.

I think it would be helpful to have a professional sit down with him to look at the reality of how long his savings will last, especially given costs are going to keep going up and his pension only increases by a few dollars per year - not nearly enough to keep up with inflation.
