National Service should have a 1.5 years option, make up for the remaining time later

Many Singaporean males are "delayed in their career" due to the 2 year NS gap.

NS is still necessary, but perhaps we can be more flexible to help Singaporean males?

One of the key problems is that many of them ORD after uni admissions (August), and have to wait around 7-8 months for the next uni intake.

How about giving NSFs an option of a 1.5 years NSF period, and they make up for the remaining duration during school breaks or do more ICT cycles?

That will shorten the "delay" by an entire year, which is significant IMO.
