Best / least expensive places to take online courses toward NY certification

I was certified through the traditional path (college teacher prep program). A family member would like to use the alternate pathway of independent evaluation to become certified in NYS. He has an undergrad degree in art and is already a TA, so he has most of the workshops. What are some of the places he can take the few education courses he needs for the initial certification? (He knows he'll need student teaching as well, but he want to get these ed courses done asap.) He's looking at the SUNY schools but they have limited offerings this summer. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
