Why do I randomly feel faint when cleaning deep wound?

So today I got a deep cut on my forearm and since it was deep but not big, I went to my urgent care down the road. With it being so deep the doc wanted to “pressure clean” it as she called it. Basically spray the cleaner in it with a syringe. Now I’ve never had issues with the sight of blood or anything before and have only previously felt faint when my blood pressure is low or my blood sugar is low. But today when she had been deep cleaning my cut, I suddenly felt faint. There I was like “okay, probably because it was a weird sensation” but now I just had to remove the gauze and clean it again and sure enough while just cleaning it with soap and water, I started feeling faint again. Is there a reason for this? Is it specifically because it’s a deep cut?

Not looking for medical advice! Just genuinely curious the possible cause :)
