BOSF Flight School 17 JASON Longtail

Dear Mom and Dad.

I am officially on my first Navy Patrol. This is end of week 1.

About next 27 days we will be on patrol. in this sector then returning to Haego to pick up Class 3 pilots training.

Every day we fan out ahead and beside our Carrier flight path looking for anything out of ordinary.

Class 2 are also part of these patrols but usually an instructor is flying with them as a 6th pilot. This is to evaluate and in case they do run into something.

My patrols are good so far. We will walk away from here with many flight and pod hours in fighters. Getting 4 Fighter hours and 4 Pod hours per day.

One day of 5 is spent as Alert squadron with Instructors forming a second alert squadron. Our role on these is to support if any contacts or operate search and rescue if any emergencies.

On day 4 Green Squadron came accross where a small ship or more got destroyed by something. Hopefully the photos of what is left will give us answers. Information was sent to the station to see if the wreck was already identified. They had no record.

On day 5 a student patrol was suddenly stopped by their instructor. He spotted something Drazzan in their zone. He guided how to sneak up to it to discover it was a unmaned long range listening post. His student snuck up to it and used it as a gun target and destroyed it. A student got his first kill.

Day 7 my squadron found a dead ship in space. The fleet adjusted their heading.to us. Once joined one of the emergency squadron joined us to form a perimeter. The Marines launch and their Umbilical chords attached to to derelic ship.

Marines boarded and checked the ship. They found damage and blood on board. The put a few remains the found in bodybags for autopsies.

In the debrief it is believed that the relic had been attacked about 13 years ago. From the size of boarding hole and laser marks probably Drazzan. The Relic had been reported missing at that time.

They did not feed on the bodies probably because they were older sailors with fake arms and legs.

As you can well imagined this week ended with a bang.
