I'm tired of seeing people constantly saying Tony Soprano is a sociopath, he is a tragic figure.

Yes, Tony Soprano is a horrible awful person. A murderer, an adulterer, a predator, he makes a living ruining people's lives and killing loved ones. There is no "good" version of Tony that justifies what he does. But people come here almost diagnosing him of this sociopathic trait. I feel like it was implied he was born without a heart or a care in the world. Tony has a soul, however his actions and his upbringing have fundamentally buried it deep. There are moments where it comes out, how he gets upset about Pie-Oh-My, his reaction to Tracee getting brutally murdered by Ralphie, learning that Chris killed Cosette, I guess in a way he kills Tony B so that Phil's crew wouldn't get to him and torture him. Also, while the bar is extremely low, he was a better father to AJ and Meadow than Johnny was to Tony. Tony was still a awful father, but never dragged either of them into his business and actually did everything in his power to ensure they never even laid eyes on it the way he did with Johnny. Johnny groomed Tony into the mob, Johnny molded Tony into the man his was in the series. He isn't a heartless monster. He’s a human being who chose to become a monster, and that is a much darker story to tell.
