On our fourth broken Tonie…

Since getting a Tonie 2 at Christmas we have consistently had lagging and freezing. Reached out to Tonie and they’ve replaced it for us but then it’s happened again. And again. We’re about to have to try to ask for our fourth replacement.

This time I asked if they would give us a Tonie 1 and they responded “Regarding your request, the main concern with switching to a Toniebox 1 is that it will eventually require updates that may no longer be supported. Because of this, if you later experience issues and would like to replace it with a Toniebox 2, we would not be able to proceed with another replacement.”

Guys is this bogus? Should I keep trying to get a good Tonie 2 or just say I’m ok with the 1? I think with what I’ve heard about busted Tonie 2s they won’t be phasing out 1s any time soon but wanted to get outside thoughts. Thanks!
