Good camera for a beginner?

Discussion

Hello! I have recently been interested in trying to get into birding. It frankly seems like a nice time and the idea of finding and cataloguing birds sounds awesome. I also got pretty heavily inspired by a bird watching game I played recently called Flocking Around to maybe try my hand at a little amateur photography.

So what's a good camera for someone just dipping their toes in?

I'm not looking to get my start in wild life photography or anything, so I don't need something with stellar quality. I was just hoping I could find something that might just be a cheap intro that can take a slightly better zoomed in photo than my smart phone.

I also do plan to get binoculars and some other things in case anyone brings it up \o/

Thank you for any advice or posts!
