Just started as a PE 😅
Hi. 24F. Graduated last June with my bachelors of architecture. Had anxiety about the pay for being a designer and have always loved seeing things come together and lead teams and be hands on. I also make furniture. Decided I would make the leap to construction after graduating to either try and make a career out of it, partially for the $, but also to see if I liked it. Told myself if I don’t like it, it still gives me hands on experience that will only boost my resume. Yesterday was my first day and needless to say I am exhausted. It’s a lot of information overload so far and trying to keep up. Maybe it’s the knowledge gap but this is a lot! I am training right now but start next week officially on site. Pretty anxious because I’m not a morning person but it is what it is. Any advice or feedback is appreciated. I’m hoping I love it and don’t have to worry about another backup plan. Otherwise I see myself going into BIM Modeling possibly but not sure.
