Am I the only one who thinks Grace being right about non-water-based life is wildly under-discussed?

Rocky is amazing, obviously. But Grace’s hypothesis was basically “life doesn’t need water,” and then he meets a fully functional, intelligent species that proves it.

That’s not just confirmation, that’s one of the biggest scientific discoveries imaginable, especially for astrobiology.

And we mostly just talk about how great Rocky is (again, fair).
