2024 Kia Seltos. The Engine Auto Start-Stop (ISG) is malfunctioning and my gas mileage showing to be much better

Now when I start the car the switch is not lit. When I stop at a light, the indicator light on it comes on. As soon as I take my foot off the brake and start to accelerate the light goes off. The engine never shuts off at lights or when stopped. Now my in-town errands showing 40 - 45 MPG vs. ~32 MPG before it started malfunctioning. (Hope my MPG is being calculated correctly!)

Looking on line it seems it probably needs to be reset. A couple of recommendations say either drive the car for 2 hours or disconnect the battery and reconnect, allow up to 4 hours to reset with the engine off. Another says it may be a low battery.

Not sure I really want it fixed!
