Do you think homes will ever be affordable again?

We bought a house in 2024 880k with 5.8% interest rate. I’ve been hoping interest rates would drop but doesn’t look like that’s happening. Curious if homes will ever be affordable again? When we purchased our first home in 2014, we paid 365k vs 880k huge jump in price in just 10 years. Same neighborhood too. We’d like to purchase one more home, just saving at this point.
