Connection to games cuts out randomly, but wifi usually seems fine.

There will be times where i'm playing random pc games and i just abruptly lose connection (see medal clip at end for example), everything looks as though my wifi has died, only for it to snap back to place and resume like nothing happened after a 3-5 second gap. on some games it's too long and causes me to lose connection to game servers at vital times. On other games it just makes me look like im not doing anything for a few seconds before i regain connection.

it happens on helldivers, rematch, and over the top most often, but ive also noticed not every game has this happen. like on GTA FiveM servers ive never had this issue, when i play arma or vrchat, not an issue. So i'm confused. Should i just buy a new wifi adapter? this is the only device it happens on.

doesnt happen on discord, doesnt happen when remote desktop connected to my virtual server box for games i host, doesnt happen on any streaming services.
