Adult Stepson and my house

My husband of 17 years (second marriage for both) died from cancer 5 years ago

He has 3 sons and I’m without children. My late husband and I built a house together and he passed a year and half after we moved in.

I’ve been very close to the youngest son, who got married and they have 2 children. I bounded with my grandkids at a very early age. And I’m there only grandmother. The kids are in their teens now and our relationship is very strong.

After my husband passed my stepson immediately said he wanted the house after I passed. I agreed and basically was forced to get a will.

Within the last couple of years the pressure has increased about him and his wife getting my home, which is deeded in my name only. I have always been upfront that I may sell.

This last weekend my DIL started a conversation with me basically talking about me being dead (present day) and how she would probably have to work to 2-3 jobs in order for them to keep house. Then she went on to say well in 10 years (when I’m dead) they should have no problems. I reminded her several times that weekend (visiting at their home) I just may sell the house.

Mind you I’m a very healthy and fit 66 year old.
