Anyone here actually use Birch Gold Group, how did it go once the paperwork and statements showed up?
I stumbled on an older thread in the main Gold sub where people were basically saying “gold IRA isn’t the scam, the pricing/markups can be,” and Birch came up a lot. I’m trying to separate legit complaints from internet noise.
If you’ve dealt with Birch (or helped a parent/relative with it), what did the real all-in cost look like after the dust settled: dealer spread, custodian fees, storage, weird coin selections (like odd weights), “free metals” promos, buyback pricing, the whole thing. Did they email you a clean quote you could verify, or was it mostly phone talk and trust-me energy?
Not looking for drama, just practical experiences, good or bad, especially from people who’ve seen an actual statement months later.
