How do people level up in FlyFF?

Is levelling up always such a grind after level 85/90? It feels like everything we beat gives less than 1% exp, even with 1000% Amp Scrolls fighting lvl 100 enemies. There are quite few resources online for the classic version, so it's been hard navigating what to do.
