I built a tool to automate resume tailoring — tested it on my own applications

Showcase: Prerelease

I used to send the same resume everywhere and barely heard back.

So I tried tailoring it to each job description manually — 30–45 minutes per application. Honestly, brutal.

Results were kind of crazy:

  • Way better keyword matches
  • ATS scores improved
  • Started getting real callbacks

What surprised me most:
Most people aren’t getting rejected because they’re unqualified — their resume just doesn’t match how the job is written.

After a while I got tired of doing it manually, so I built Tailora to automate it. Now it takes seconds instead of half an hour.

I tested it on my own applications and the difference was noticeable.

Curious if anyone here has tried something similar?

Happy to share how it works or what I learned.
