Why does it feel like no one has any moral standards or red lines anymore?

Say what you will about the early 2000s in terms of pearl clutching, but at the time, people still felt like they had some sense of moral standards. Tom Cruise’s Scientology nonsense almost derailed his career, Mel Gibson was Hollywood poison for a while due to his racism and Kanye’s reputation was in the gutter following the Taylor Swift incident.

Now, it feels like the world has done a complete reversal: everyone has taken a complete amoral stance as a consumer, and no one gives a fuck if you literally praise Hitler or fiddle kids as long as you make music they like. A scandal which used to bear 5 years of consequences now bears 5 months. When did it become acceptable to have no moral standards whatsoever?
