Need help decide b/w: Brown/Cornell/Duke/GT for Computer science/Math ?
Hi all! Need some advice. My kid got into Brown, Cornell, Duke and Georgia Tech (all Computer Science). Cost/Location/vibe are not factors for consideration.
What college will you advise based on internship opportunities & jobs, especially in FAANG and other top company recruiting (on campus/off campus)? Kid is interested in CS (software engineering) like FAANG. But also potentially in other industries with CS, such as Quant/Risk Analyst. Not super sure what job to pursue in the future yet,
Should we go with "Ivy brand", as it might open more doors than state school like GT in future? what abt Duke..is that better than Brown for CS/Applied Math ?
Also, since the landscape of CS is changing so rapidly, what college offers flexibility if they want to change major by Sophomore year? appreciate insight from people at any of the above colleges in similar major
